SLMARAD | Policy for new Registrations of vessels trading in Paris/Med/Black seas

From September 19th, 2016 the Sierra Leone Maritime Administration (SLMARAD) has adopted a new policy regarding the new Registrations of vessels trading in Paris/Med/Black seas, as a preventative measure to reduce the detentions received in the Paris/Med/Black MoUs.
It has been decided that SLMARAD will not accept for registration, vessels above 25 years of age, without having IACS Classification*.
*refers solely to the Classification Certificate, the rest of the statutory certificates can be issued by any other approved RO.
