On May 31st 2019, the Black Sea Memorandum of Understanding (BS MOU) on Port State Control, published its Annual Report for the year 2018.
This PSC Annual report covers the period between 1st January and 31st December 2018. During this period the BS MOU Μember Authorities (Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Russian Federation, Turkey, Ukraine) conducted a total of 5,214 inspections, which were carried out to ensure that foreign ships visiting the Black Sea ports are seaworthy, do not pose a pollution risk, provide a healthy and safe environment and comply with relevant international regulations and within the scope of the member Authorities’ national governing laws and regulations.
