As of 2019 it is known that the Panama Maritime Authority (PMA) has established requirements that must be met by national and foreign companies that wish to be registered by the Flag Inspection Section of the Navigation and Maritime Safety Department of the General Directorate of Merchant Marine of the Republic of Panama, acting as Representatives of the duly authorized Flag State Inspectors, in order to carry out procedures in favor of the inspectors before PMA.
We are pleased to remind you that our company, WIDE, is acting as a Representative of the duly authorized Flag State Inspectors since March 2019, which can be verified via the Merchant Marine Circular No. 374 (MMC-374).
PMA has recenlty published the Letter No.106-01-17-DGMM, in order to clarify and inform all interested parties that the company "INTERNATIONAL MARINE INSPECTORS", before known as "Egyptian Company Pharaohs Marine", is not authorized by PMA to coordinate any type of inspection aboard Panamanian vessels.
